this is a guide to help those who are in the market for a Cherry MX switch keyboard and don’t know where to start when it comes to switches. my hope is that this will help narrow it down.
i tried a razer blackwidow chroma with the razer green switches today, and i loved the feeling. i've been told that those switches are really similar to the mx blues, can anyone confirm that? i don't really want to have to mess around with razer synapse and stuff…
I like Cherry Green
I actually hate writing on blue switches.
so what is the best not too loud switch for recording and gaming?
Thanks man. But, and you're not the only one who has mentioned this, who the hell needs 'feedback' from their fingers while typing to know they've hit a key?!? This is complete nonsense and a marketing ploy. When the correct letter pops up on the screen in the word I'm typing, I know I've hit the correct key. If not, I hit backspace, watch the letter disappear from the screen, and try again. This involves zero input from my fingers, or the tactile feedback so many rave about in order to justify the existence of those particular switches.
I got a Corsair Vengeance k95 with cherry Red switches. Its still my main keyboard and its more then 2 years old. I love it. Used mainly for gaming. But again, depends on your taste. Its kind of weird to type tho. Can be a problem if you are a programmer or do documents a lot. Issues that i struggle with. But overall would not change it. Planning on buying this sample to get a better feel of what I'm looking for in my next corsair.
Brown Town it is
Why Asus Strix keyboard which uses brown they do not have that bump?
Why would you not put the caps on so we can hear how they all sound? It's different with the caps on.
so witch key is the clackyest
Hey guys, I play a lot of League of Legends and Overwatch. These 2 games are very different and that's why I can't decide between Red and Brown. I have read that Red is more for FPSs and Brown works perfectly for MOBAs. I have never owned a mechanical keyboard before because I gamed on a laptop, but now that I got a PC I need a keyboard. What do you guys recommend? I am leabing towards Brown, because I have the feeling I might accidently press a key if I use Red. Can that be the case of not? Thanks!
Think im going with Red switches, because I game and I'm a light typer. I often miss letters from not pressing down hard enough. Very informative video thanks for the help :D.
Thank you so much for sharing this information in a video format making it possible for me to see AND hear! It's propelled me to considering a mechanical keyboard! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!
I switched from a normal keyboard to MX red. in CSGO I keep accidentally holding the shift down. its easy to press.
i have 3 ancient mechanical keyboards i got at swapmeets and second hand stores its the coolest shit to find ibm and old mac keyboards and get them for like 4 bucks.
Very good explanation – thank you.
I have green … ? where does that add in ?
does anyone know where i can find a cheap cherry blue with a hand rest? thank you so much if you answer
brown is the sweet spot for me, not too loud but oh so satisfying
What about the Cherry MX Greens?
Its super hard to find cherry green.
The blue one is the shit!
Browns are the best in my opinion since i use them and they are perfect for gaming and typing 🙂
You should've put the key cap on the rest of them to demonstrate better, just saying. Cause I ordered a Ajazz AK33 RGB mechanical keyboard with black switches for myself.
What keyboard are you using at 7:10
do the reds make a loud clicking noise as well?? I really like loud clicking keyboards, the sound is suprisingly satisfying
Thanks. I'm using the black switches in the steelseries 6gv2. Searching for replacement keycaps for the keyboard – they are really hard to find 🙁
what about for people that just type really hard?
@0:31 Those ain't all choices, just take a look at the Greetech, the Outemu or the Gateron switches and broaden your horizon. Maybe you fancy ALPS style switches like the Matias or you prefer havier switches like the MX Greens.
which one mx for writing and some game ?
Hola a todos que carajo pasa aquí por qué no solo se compro un teclado Jajajaja que loco está ese vato
Thanks for the helpful video.
Finally I understand now thanks dude when I first started trying to finds mechanical keyboards I didnt even know Cherry Mx was the switches
