Love it !
Muzzle velocity on my Tac A1 with my handload is just about the same. I chrono'd my load at about 2700. Hornady Brass, CCI BR2 Primers, 143gr ELD-X, 42.5gr H4350, and a COAL of 2.815". Great to see this platform with this barrel upgrade perform.
6.5 Creedmoor; Tikka 3TX CTR or Varmint or Ruger RPR?
Hehe, Dead Bird.
I'm glad you mentioned the magazine problem. I noticed if I put a mag in with the bolt closed, moved the bolt back slowly to chamber a round (as if chambering while hunting in a blind), the round would tip upwards and not chamber. It got better if I stretched the spring slightly, but the mags could definitely use more pressure at the back of the follower. Instead, it teeter totters and is susceptible to tipping upwards. In order to fix that, I have to reach up and push the tip down just to be on the safe side… which looked like something you did in the video. In hind sight, I came to the same conclusion, that the T3x in a chassis would've bypassed the magazine issue. Still a great rifle, still plan on keeping it, just a minor annoyance.
I'm glad I didn't buy a tikka that barrel must be over 200fps slow. Once you add in the cost of the overpriced factory mags and a barrel swap Tikka's aren't worth the money IMO. My 22" Krieger 6.5cm runs factory prime 130gr at 2870fps so the tikka is extra slow.
Hey Frank, I’d love to hear your feedback on the 136 scenar L our at distance and what your perceived BC is. Seems like a lot of people love them for precision to about 700-800 but have complaints out passed that.
Why is barrel life so short?
Hi Frank, great video, but I can't seem to find an initial video on this rifle, regards Rob
Hey Frank, another great video. Well done. Really like the target you were shooting at, the round plates that reset when your shot the last plate👍
Animal Rights cucks arriving with hate in …3……….2………1……
That poor bird. LMAO
Great video Frank, sure appreciate it! Love the bird shot, crack me up! Do you think when I go to replace my 308 barrel that doing the same thing will give me similar results? Im pushing 155gr Berger HT to 2934fps (Avg). Currently the Bartlein barrel I have now has an 11.25 RH twist.
The bird though….
Bergara or tikka. What do you think is best for the money?
Awesome video. The bird at the end just made it way better lol.
Great review Frank! I love the Tikka rifles. Take care, flea
LMAO when you're sellin' me on a rifle you sound like the guy who sawed a boat in half and fixed it with flex seal. Love your vids SemperFi my brother.
Bird got some frag!

What barrel contour are you running? Are you able to run a M24/M40 contour on Tikka Actions?
Never heard of a barrel that slow. 2700 is pretty slow even with 140s. 😆
I like the fact you can stuff up let’s us know what works and what doesn’t. Saves us time and money. Thank you Frank great video
Ok I am going to show my ignorance…………………..What is the metal object protruding from the left side near the receivers back end, some kind of sling mount ?
God I love you guys. Been loving the shit out of the every day sniper podcast too! Keep them coming!
animals were harmed in this making of this video….. great review
My 6.5 Tikka Tac A1 barrel is stamped "Berretta". I called Beretta looking for a barrel. They told my they do not import Tikka barrels. he then said that Tikka's figures that if you can afford the ammo to shoot out the barrel, then you can afford to buy a new rifle. Can you point me in the right direction for a barrel? I don't want to wait until my barrel is shot out and then start looking. I have about 500 rounds through mine and I have no idea how long it will stay as accurate as it is.Thanks for the videos.
Magpie ain't got shit on a tikka
As a left handed shooter would a left hand twist be beneficial to me?
Great vid. The bird at the end was hilarious.
Is the tikka t3x in 6.5 long or short action¿ if short and I put it in a new long action replacement chassis thank you for the help
Hey Frank I agree with you on a yodave trigger spring on a t3x ctr model but, can you shed some light on the Tac A1 model? The reason i’m asking is because I was wondering if you knew the tac a1 had an adjustable trigger in it. If you adjust it as low as possible without causing any negligent discharges i’m sure you would like it. I don’ think you would need the yodave trigger spring for this unless you think it’s a big difference or better. thanks!
